Nite Guard SolarTM is based on scientific research. A flash of light implies to all animals that hunt or feed at night that they have been “discovered” or are being watched. This is their deepest fear and forces them to flee the area. A simple, but effective concept.
Use the Nite Guard Solar to PROTECT...... POULTRY and LIVESTOCK: against coyote, fox, bear, mountain lion, wolf, bobcat, owls, hawks, mink, weasel, and skunk.
GARDENS: (flowers, sweet corn), ORCHARDS, VINEYARDS against deer and raccoon.
BIRD FEEDERS, PURPLE MARTIN HOUSES, FISH PONDS: against raccoon, hawks, owls, blue heron and bear.
CAMPSITES, CABINS, and PROPERTY: against bear, raccoon, mountain lion and even human intruders.
GENERAL NITE GUARD INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
PROPER CHARGING INSTRUCTIONS
Remove the black, protective tape that covers the solar panel.
Install the light in the area to be protected and where it will receive about 4-hours of daylight (See “Positioning Your Nite Guard” below).
Each unit has a tab on the top which will accept a screw for mounting on a post or stake. Even though they are very well built, do not attempt to hammer on or jar the unit excessively as this could cause internal damage.
NOTE: Nite Guard will begin to operate the very first night, however, it will take 3-4 days for the light to be become fully charged. If the light is placed in an area where it will not receive enough sunlight to maintain its charge you may see the operation of the light become weak or even stop. In this situation, simply place the light in direct sunlight for a 1-2 day period or until fully charged. This product is designed for outdoor use. It is light sensitive, meaning it provides protection all night ... dusk to dawn.
POSITIONING YOUR NITE GUARD
Predator type animals are very determined to get at your poultry, livestock, or crops and will circle the entire area searching for a safe entry. They must see the flash to be repelled, therefore the correct positioning of the light is critical. All four sides of the area must be protected by the flash—this may require 4 or more Nite Guard units. You will be the best judge of the final positioning of your Nite Guard because each area is different in terms of terrain, buildings, high grass, brush, and trees. Position the lights at approximately eye level with the predator to be stopped and make every effort to mount the lights in an open area. The flash can be seen from up to a half mile away and the predators will shrink back from it the instant they are aware of it. Be creative with your positioning using the suggested mounting instructions as a guideline.

Excellent for deer, July 20, 2009
By soybeanfarmer from Lake Cormorant, MS
"This has been the most successful way I've had so far to deter deer from my soybeans. The lights must be moved around every 3 to 4 days but not in any particular pattern. I have gone to the fields at night to check on activity and the deer are still there but they keep to the edge of the woods thinking they aren't being seen. I highly recommend this product."

Nite Guard Solar-Powered Night Predator Light, July 13, 2009
By RLH2 from Kerrville, TX
"A friend recommended these lights to me because we have deer in our area. The deer prohibited me from enjoying potted plants in my rather large back yard. I ordered two of these lights and I am extremely pleased with them. They charge quickly and the blinking red lights are very bright. I placed the lights at different angles at eye-level to the deer. I have not had another plant eaten, except for the day that I forgot to put out the blinking lights! They really work and I will recommend them to others."

Really DOES Work!!!, June 29, 2009
By Happychickens from Tacoma, Washington
"I was so frustrated with Raccoons. I lost so many chickens and other fowl from night predators. Took a chance and posted 6 of these lights on trees about 18 inches up. Not a single incident or loss since. Not even locking the chicken house anymore at night! Knock on wood, cross my fingers........these things work like magic. HIGHLY recommend!!!!!!!!"

Predator Light, August 11, 2008
By paperchaser from Emmmitsburg, MD
"This product works like a champ. Took me about half an hour to set up the 4 units (including finding a pole to put them on). I got them to keep the hawks away from my Guineas--so far, so good. In the Fall, I'll reposition them to keep the deer out of my orchard (the damage I've seen is mostly from rubbing antlers, not browsing). Hope they work as well there. They start flashing at early dusk and continue until the sun is really up and running, so they seem to work against both day and night predators."

Nite Guard - It Works!, September 12, 2008
By FarmerMN from Rural, MN
We free range chickens (300-600 birds at a time) in open pasture. Normally we experience some loss from raccoons, skunks, fox, etc. I purchased 4 nite gaurds, installed them as suggested and experienced zero loss from preditors. This product works! Doesn't seem to bother the other animals (sheep, donkeys, llamas, etc.)"
